A little stool made from little scraps that shows the big beauty forgotten throwaways can have.

While working in a theatrical wood shop I would watch piece after piece of off-cut wood strips get thrown into dumpsters.  Seeing free material I could save from the landfill, I squirreled away whatever I could.

I have always loved the stripes that plywood holds and I celebrate them in this stool design.  They find emphasis in moments that disrupt the flow of lines- the dowel and rabbet joints, the perpendicular meeting of striped edges.
